Its time to spoil the most important woman in our lives. Our Mum's. Even though i would like to spoil my mum more often it doesn't seem to happen that way.
Mothers Day is a bitter sweet day in our family. We have lost two amazing women over the past few years. One being my husbands mum and also my Granny (who was like another mum to me). As we celebrate the women we still have on this earth, we also remember the legacy that these two women have left behind and draw upon the wonderful memories of time spent with them.
I know some people say that mothers day is a hallmark gimmick but i like that there is a day dedicated to honouring the mothers, grand mothers, aunty's, sisters, a friend or any other women in your life that may have influenced you along your journey. Encourage them as they carry out the huge task of being a mother.
What do you plan to to for your special lady?
Maybe buy her favourite gift (my mum loves getting new winter PJ's for mothers day), take her to her favourite cafe for lunch or cook her a home cooked meal for all the meals that she would have cooked you over the years.
